It started with a number: 210. Long before it was a sanctuary for slow weekends, Unit 210 was an office—a place of deadlines, ringing phones, and the high-octane energy of our creative agency, MadHouseMNL (now MCollective). From 2017 to 2020, these walls saw the grind. They witnessed the late-night pitches, the frantic production cycles, and the messy, beautiful reality of building a business from scratch.

The Pivot to Peace
When 2020 changed the way the world worked, it changed us, too. The office grew quiet. The flexible rhythm of the pandemic allowed us to see Unit 210 not just as a workplace, but as a space. We began by transforming it into a studio, a blank canvas for creators to shoot and collaborate. But even then, something was missing.
We were coffee lovers first. We had a small machine, some good beans, and a habit of making lattes for friends who dropped by. We noticed that when people entered 210, their shoulders dropped. They stopped checking their watches. They breathed differently.

April: The Month of Slow
It was in April that we realized our office had become a refuge. We decided to stop keeping the peace to ourselves and opened our doors to the community. We traded the buzz of the workday for the sound of slow — the rhythmic grind of beans, the hiss of the steam wand, and the quiet joy of a manual brew.
What used to be a limited-run weekend-only pop-up cafe is now our weekend refuge.

What is The 210 Weekend Club?
Today, we are more than a cafe. We are a warm, fuzzy hug on a slow weekend. We chose to be a weekend-only club because we believe the weekend is sacred. In a world that demands you always be on, we invite you to log off.
We believe you just need a comfortable chair, a paper coffee cup, and a safe space to quiet your mind. Whether you’re here for a coffee, food, hangout with friends, or just to watch the afternoon light hit the walls, you are part of the club.

To the Next Year of Weekenders
As we celebrate our anniversary, we look back at the journey from a chaotic office to a quiet sanctuary. Unit 210 has seen our ups and downs, our loudest laughs, and our most peaceful silences.
Thank you for choosing to slow down with us. This is your space. This is your weekend.
